Champagne Standard Schnauzers

I cannot believe how busy we have been lately, it has so far been a fabulous fall and the dogs have enjoyed it!

We took a little vacation and packed up the crew in the Schnauzer mobile and spent a few days seaside.  It was a nice diversion and the dogs enjoyed long walks and a little ‘dip’, well some of them:

It has been a busy month with travel, dog shows and particularly the Canadian National Specialty of the Standard Schnauzer Club of Canada.

The Specialty was being held in western Ontario just south of Sarnia; we decided to make it a vacation and visited several Ontario parks in addition to going to the show.

Although not a very big entry, it was very competitive.  Lia did well – I would almost add being shown by me ! – and  got the Select Bitch award both at the regular show and the Specialty and got Best of Opposite Sex  at the regular show.  Lia’s main competitors were champions from Canada and one of the top girls from the US called Elin.  Getting select, meant that she came second to Elin, and Best Opposite that she beat her at one show!  Not bad for our girl who had not been show since last year until two weeks before !
